Hugh Dinsdale Skydives on behalf of the Ellen MacArthur Trust
On Sunday 24th September in near perfect weather conditions at the Army Parachute Association school at Netheravon in Wiltshire, Hugh, firmly attached to his tandem instructor Mike Jeng, jumped out of the aircraft at a height of 12000 feet. The freefall lasted around 45 seconds and reached speeds of approximately 120 miles per hour. At 5000 feet the main parachute was deployed and the final descent was made under canopy landing five minutes later right on target! The whole proceeding was captured on DVD for prosperity.
Hugh described the skydive as an amazing experience and due to the generosity of his sponsors (which even included his neighbours two cats!) raised a total of £519 for the Trust.
Hugh, a business consultant, lives on the Isle of Wight with his wife Claire, son Nicholas (aged 13) and beautiful new baby girl Ellen.
