EMT Ambassador Dan Monk sets sail in Hawaii

EMT ambassador Dan Monk flew out to Hawaii last week to rejoin the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. He is now a crew member aboard Nova Scotia and we will be posting news on his progress daily.

Saturday saw the fleet start off the world famous Waikiki beach and we are delighted to see that Nova Scotia got off to a flying start as they were first of the eight yachts to cross the start line. The fleet raced along the shore before heading out to the Pacific to battle it out for 2,080 knm before finishing the race in Santa Cruz, California.

It is already proving to be a close race as there are only 21 knm between the first and last yacht, Nova Scotia are currently lying in 7thposition.
