The Little Britain Challenge Cup continues to support the Trust

On 6th January this year Olympic gold medalists Shirley Robertson and Ben Ainslie received a cheque on behalf of The Ellen MacArthur Trust form the Little Britain Challenge Cup for £8,500. The brings the total contribution from the LBCC to £14,500 in 2004.

Shirley and Ben very kindly agreed to represent the Trust as Ellen was in the middle of the Southern Ocean at the time on her record breaking attempt to set the fastest time to sail non stop, solo around the world.

The Little Britain Challenge Cup is the largest regatta of its kind in Europe. Over 200 boats from the construction industry take part, competing over a three day period in September each year. Last year they raised over £100,00.00 for charity.
