Scarlet Oyster returns!
13.53pm - Congratulations to Scarlet Oyster and her crew of Maxine, Gemma, Ross and Robert, who under the guidance of our volunteers have just finished the 2007 JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race 8 hours and 23 minutes after their 5.30am start. Everyone had a fantastic journey round the Isle of Wight and have crossed the finish line at Cowes just as the rains came. Spirit is now rounding the coast at Bembridge and Elektra is making slower progress up the south east coast of the Island. The walkers are still braving the weather for the Trust and the third group of cyclists are just about to finish. Big thanks once again to Skipper Gordon Applebey who donates the use of Scarlet Oyster to the Trust and celebrated his birthday with us yesterday. You're a star!!
