Group 3 cyclists and Scarlet Oyster neck and neck
11.45am - Both Scarlet Oyster and the third group of cyclists are rounding the eastern point of the Island and preparing for the final stretch home. Katie and Dan in Elektra still have high hopes of catching Spirit and have taken a route further from shore to try and catch the maximum wind. Both boats are still heading down towards St Catherines Point and Dan and Katie are determined to close the gap. The walkers have now been marching for almost seven hours and are at Brighstone. The second group of cyclists finished around an hour ago and are now enjoying a well earned rest and a drink!
