The Derbyshire Building Society has teamed up with The Ellen MacArthur Trust and Rainbows Children's Hospice, to launch a special savings account called the Ellen MacArthur Trust and Rainbows Children's Hospice - Online, for supporters that only want to operate their account online, giving you the chance to join Ellen in helping these children in their struggle.

For every £100 saved, The Derbyshire will donate £1 if you keep that £100 in the account continuously for one year. The donation will be split equally between the two charities. It may not sound a lot, but you might be surprised to know that another of The Derbyshire Building Society affinity savings accounts raised £250,000 in one year.

The savings account acts in two ways to help these children and their families.

The Ellen MacArthur Trust gives children who are recovering from cancer the sailing experience of their lives. The challenge of sailing on the sea provides real inspiration and joy, helping them gain confidence.

Rainbows Children’s Hospice in Loughborough is equally inspiring. Rainbows hospice enhances every aspect of a child’s life – physical, emotional, social and spiritual. Equally importantly, the hospice provides vital support to the children’s families.
